Eventful Vol 2: Outbreak Manila October 2012

This was the 2nd Outbreak Manila this year, held in Enchanted Kingdom, and the 3rd in their history. I've never had the chance to register for this run as a zombie or a runner but who knew i was going to be able to put on makeup on the zombies. This was a relaxing event for MUA who participated as we didn't really had to properly blend or make things equal on the zombies face.

Eventful Vol1 : FHM Halloween Ball October 2012

That was an eventful October wasn't it? I've never went to a halloween party ever and no not even this year! Instead I went to 2 holloween parties this year as a makeup artist! Woot! Halloween parties never really interested me but it changed my perspective after this 2 nights. I still don't want to attend halloween parties but I want to put on makeup (on clients) on halloween!

i got my mind on my money, money on my mind

Cute finds at Papemelroti (Glorietta). I have been looking at these earrings for 2 weeks now thank God they still had a couple of stocks left:) I immediately put it on after i bought it. Excited much :))

Now, as these earrings swayed gracefully in my ears... I had an epiphany. BUSINESS IDEA. I know i know.. there's probably a lot of people going for this kind of business but I think I have a pretty good eye when it comes to designing (YEA RIGHT)... so why not!

making the most in my 20s

Something that caught my eye this morning.  a retweet from my friend Jb.

I did 2 consecutive shoots this weekend. One on Sunday with Tin lam and another yesterday with Reg Gomez. I feel like I am in a starting point of my life. doing things I like and I'm finally pursuing them.

Today is my rest day! My eyes are tired. There's still a bit of makeup stuck in my nails from the shoot yesterday. Eww. And I didn't put makeup today! Resting my skin so my pores can maybe breathe fresh air even if it's inevitably polluted in the city.

Busy day. Like really busy.

Busy day! So my original sched was this (1) 10am: Drop by Glorietta to buy some goodies (2) Go to FEU and attend my Oblicon and Economics class (3) ask Economics professor if I can just attend class til 4:30 pm (4) meet with my friend Shiela and do her makeup for a party she was going to attend. 

But... Lo and behold! God made this day much easier (yet still busy) for me! After I bought the 'goodies' at Glorietta, I went directly to FEU to attend class, and guess what... CLASSES WERE SUSPENDED!

(Goodies: MAC Fix+, Nyx Shine Killer, Body Shop Moisturize It Primer, Etude House Brow Pencil, Sleek Ultra-Matte Palette, and a color wheel!)

So, it was an opportunity to do all my other delayed activities like this one below. I had to put makeup on a child.  Thank God my friend Shali lived around the Makati area. She had a 2 year old niece who lives near her too. So, right after finding out that there's no classes, I went to her place. Mission Accomplished! 

At around 2 pm. I didn't had anything to do so I went straight ahead to rockwell. I dropped by Mercury Drugs to look for this tiny bottle of eye lubricant. You see, I wear hard contact lenses and i've noticed that sometimes, the long hours of putting on makeup dries my eyes out. Thank God the people behind this product produced a tinier bottle that costs around 75 pesos only! The slightier bigger bottle costs around 400 pesos and I don't even finish the entire thing.

Around 4: 30, Shiela and I met. At this point I was really excited. I'm so thankful God cancelled classes. I didn't have to excuse myself from eco class! Pictures coming up within the week! The rest of the night were spent in Greenbelt 5 with my mom and sister. We ate at ToastBox which is originally from Singapore, a sister company/establishment of Breadtalk.

The first time I ate Laksa here (Toastbox - Gbelt5), I was very disappointed. I thought I was actually going to have an authentic Laksa but it didn't match up to my expectations. It's like they altered the flavor to compromise with the Filipino taste. Today, I gave this branch a chance to redeem itself. Still doesn't taste like the real Laksa from Singapore but it's getting there. Hopefully, they get the recipe soon.

God is so amazing! Done with 2 homeworks, 3 more to go!

Faithgoals

hey! i'm currently wasting precious time while waiting for my initiative/will to do my Finance Hw. By 'wasting precious time' I mean visiting other social networking sites. Let's make this hour productive and do a blog entry.

So, right now I'm studying in Makeup Design Academy and starting to build my portfolio. At the same time, I'm actually also taking up my 2nd Major in FEU Makati. Hence, the Finance HW. I'm taking up Accounting Tech. After I pass a qualifying exam, I will 'level up' to BS Accountancy. But, should you know, I graduated last March 2011 from Assumption College with a degree in Communication.

A whole lot of studying right? but I'll be discussing why I opt to study accountancy again in a different entry. To fully explain myself as to why I'm slowly roasting my brain cells.

Let's get to the main point. I actually have 2 faithgoals (FG) as of the moment: (1) To get in an MBA program in New York and (2) To attend an internationally acclaimed school in makeup artistry.

For the first FG, I'm looking at Columbia Business School or Cornell's.

For the 2nd FG, I'm lookin at

Sorry for the print screens. haha! So, basically these are the schools i'm looking into. Now, there are 2 things you can do. First, pray for me. Second, sponsor me? whichever you decide to do will definitely be a big help! HAHA! :) 

FG 1 and 2 doesn't have a definite time table arrangement... so, doesn't matter whichever comes first. Both are equal investments :)

Ok let's do this! Here's one of my latest projects! This right here is my friend Nikki Sindiong. I met her last year when I joined 99.5 RT's student DJ program called The Farm. She's actually very pretty (Naks!) but you know makeup enhances beauty :) I hope you guys like it!

New Kid

As I write my first entry, I'm thinkin... is this the right title for my blog.. "New Kid on the Brush". Hmm right now, it's probably an appropriate title because I am in fact an aspiring MUA (make up artist). I'm still learning the ropes but I'm thinking... in the next 6 months I'll be getting clients and if they see my site.. they might think 'this girl is a newbie.. I'd want a more experienced MUA for my wedding/debut' but... I like it. Well, I think it's catchy. Now, I'm torn apart. Maybe i'll leave it like this for a while until I think of something I really want..

So much for explaining.

The start of a new life, i guess? My second shot at blogging. This time fortified with pigments and Vitamin E but still packed with the right kind of randomness.
